Back to Work!

I’m back to work aboard USS Kitty Hawk again.  I wouldn’t say it feels good to be productive again, because I usually question just how productive my work has actually been, but it does feel good to have a plan for each day.  Sometimes I’m a very structured person.  I’m Lazy OCD - a condition my dad and I both share.  Most likely genetic.

I spent 3 of my 4 hours of watch intently studying my Frommer’s in preparation for Dad’s visit in a couple weeks.  It’s going to be a lot of fun for me too.  A lot of the places I’m planning on taking him I’ve never been myself.  Plus, I’ve never had three weeks straight in Japan to just explore and enjoy.  I usually do my Japan treks in short day or two bursts.

  1. 1. re: work–it is best that you are the most demanding/particular boss that you work for as you will find it easier to go farther for yourself.
    2. congratulations to another college graduate, I’m sure she will do well-but again not as well as the “boss” (self) wants to do.
    3. travel guide–funny how you show off to a visitor what you won’t take the time to show to yourself. How you are a knowledgable tour guide and keep your group out of trouble but not out of adventures. good luck to both of you.

Dad has been bouncing off the walls in anticpation for his trek to the other side of the planet. Yes…off the walls.

  3. OK- bouncing off the walls may be a little strong…. Well… maybe not. I AM pretty excited about the trip. It’ll be a lot of “first”s for this D.O.D.

Congrtuations to Sara-Chan on her graduation. Welcome to the real world (with the rest of us tax-payers!). Awesome pics! If ladies graduate in kimonos, what do guys wear? Inquiring minds want to know…
